Our Vision

We envision a fully-functional, peaceful, abundant, biologically diverse Earth brought about through cooperative efforts for the ecological restoration of degraded lands.

Our Mission

The Ecosystem Restoration Foundation’s mission is to: 

a) contribute to a fully functioning, peaceful, abundant and biologically diverse Earth through co-operative efforts for the ecological restoration of degraded lands; 
b) 
stimulate and support community based initiative, leadership, and capacity to implement activities and undertake interventions that result in restored ecological function, climate resilience, biodiversity enrichment, and restored water cycles while at the same time enhancing livelihoods and human well-being;   
c) d
isseminate knowledge, innovations and insights emanating from these community-based initiatives to policy makers, academia, practitioners and the general public; and  
d) t
rain large numbers of people to restore the fundamental ecological integrity of earth, and to connect knowledge and expertise about these activities worldwide.  

 
The foundation aims to be a Public Benefit Institution, as referred to in Article 5b of the General Law on State Taxes. The foundation does not aim to make a profit.
