Spring Ecosystem Regeneration Camp (Portugal)
Location
Quinta Vale da Lama
24 – 30 March 2025
Located in Lagos in the Southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, bordering a coastal lagoon and estuarine wetland, Ecosystem Restoration Community Quinta Vale da Lama is committed to regenerating their bioregion, creating a healthy and abundant ecosystem for all. And they are eager to share with their approach to regenerating the land with YOU!
Travel to the Algarve this Spring for a week-long experience of learning and hands-on training in agroforestry and ecological regeneration, with a programme designed to empower you to become an agent of change in the fight against ecosystem collapse.
Each day includes morning teaching and practical sessions, covering topics like alley cropping in agroforestry, syntropic agroforestry, wood pastures and forage banks, healthy soils and indigenous microorganisms, and regeneration techniques specific to semi-arid coastal ecosystems. Afternoons will be spent out on the farm, applying those rich new learnings and skills. There is also a course-long practical project, worked on collaboratively during the week.
