About Regen, Italy
Located in Apulia, southern Italy, Regen spans over 2.5 hectares and features a diverse agroforest with 150+ species. Once an almond orchard, the land is now a diversified agroforest, despite the region’s dry climate and historically degraded soils from monoculture. Their long-term vision includes expanding regenerative agroforestry practices across 20 more hectares to restore degraded farmland into biodiverse, self-sustaining ecosystems. Regen is also committed to educating people in agroforestry and permaculture, transforming their place into a thriving hub for ecological restoration.
What the position entails
Regen is looking for volunteers starting March and April 2025 to establish an agroforestry system on a new field. You’ll have the opportunity to retrofit a fig orchard and vineyard into a thriving syntropic system. Daily activities could include:
- Agroforestry and Syntropic Farming
- Regenerative Agriculture
- Carpentry and Building
- Water Management

Who can apply?
Residents of the EU (excluding Italy) aged between 18 and 30 (not yet turned 31) who are motivated, hardworking, passionate about sustainability and eager to learn!
